Cami at Home

In addition to the sites I mentioned in my first post (⬅ check it out if you haven’t yet), there are a few more sites that I’ve frequented when searching for remote opportunities.

The main difference between these sites and the ones I mentioned previously is that they do require signup, but they’re worth considering.

Glassdoor

Pretty much everyone knows about Glassdoor by now. Glassdoor is a well known platform for finding work, researching company reviews, and reviewing potential salary ranges for roles.

But did you know that you can use Glassdoor to find opportunities to work from home? I’ve noticed that there are quite a few companies that use this platform to post their remote roles!

What’s even better is that, in addition to searching for jobs, you can check reviews to see if the postings are from reputable companies. A win-win in my book!

📢 Tip: Search for a job title or category. Select More then Work From Home Only to filter for remote jobs. Just note that this feature isn’t perfect, so double-check the job description to ensure it’s a fully remote role.

As I mentioned, the caveat here is that you will need to sign up to view and apply for jobs. However, this is free, and there’s no real “application” process. 🙂

LinkedIn

Almost everyone is using LinkedIn as a way to share their work experience, network with others, and make connections. What I didn’t know is that there are plenty of remote jobs (in various fields) listed here as well. I’ve used LinkedIn to search for jobs on at least a few occasions.

📢 Tip: Search for a specific job title or related keyword. Then, filter your search by selecting Remote as the location.

Although you’ll need to sign up, creating an account is free. In fact, if you don’t have a LinkedIn profile already, you should probably make one. This is the first thing that I would recommend you do before even applying for a job.

Many employers, especially those that accept remote employees, will want to know as much about you as possible. This includes checking your social media accounts (such as your LinkedIn profile). And in case they hadn’t looked over your résumé, looking through your LinkedIn is a great way for them to know what you’re all about.

AngelList

If startups are your thing, AngelList is the world’s largest startup community! Similar to LinkedIn, you can create your profile, share your professional experience, and start applying to jobs!

📢 Tip: Use the filters to search for remote jobs, specific salary ranges, and when the job listings were last active.

Almost every job on this board has a salary range, so you don’t have to ask employers what to expect. Each job description will list relevant company perks or benefits as well.

Opportunities are plentiful if you’re aware of where to look. Give these sites a try, and let me know how it goes!
